How to broadcast using Mixxx

Mixxx is the only free cross-platform vinyl control software and has the most advanced MIDI/HID controller support.

This is what mixxx's main window will look like (depending on the theme you choose).

On a mac click on Mixxx>Preferences and on a windows computer on Options>Preferences. This is the window that will appear.

Now, go to "Live Broadcasting" to set up the server info.
To find the required information navigate to Settings>Broadcast in your Revma station.

Fill in the blanks with the Station’s server credentials.

Fist, in the section "Type" select "IceCast 2".
In the section "Host" type the address you find in "Server Address" of your Broadcast link.
In the section "Login" write "source".
In section "Mount" fill in the info displayed in "Mount Point" of your Broadcast link.

In the section "Port" type in one fo the ports displayed in the station credentials.

In the section "Password" fill in the "Mount password" of your Broadcast link.
Then, in the "Format" section select "MP3" and "Stereo" at "Channels".
We recommend you to choose a Bitrate of 128kbps.

You can tick on the box next to “turn on Live Broadcasting when applying these settings” or apply and manually start broadcasting by clicking on the option pointed on the screenshot bellow.

You are now ready to broadcast!
