This article will guide you through the different sections of your station in Revma.com

The dashboard is the landing point of your station. In the middle, there is a map picturing your online listeners and the countries in which they are located. Highlighting a country, will show you how many listeners are active, if any. Clicking on a country with at least one listener, will present a more detailed view.

On the right sidebar there are three sections.

Under Listeners, you are able to view the listener stats regarding the average connections and the average listening time for pre-defined time-frames. Click on the drop-down menu and select between: today, last 7 days and last 30 days.

If you have already broadcasted content with meta-data, the Last played tracks info will be visible rendering the last 5 tracks that aired through your station.

Lastly, under Stream URLs you can locate the links that direct to your station’s stream. More information on the Stream Url’s will be found in the corresponding section bellow

A Station owner will have the option to get analytics reports through the Analytics section. To get a report, you will first need to choose the period of time for which you wish this report to be generated. Under the “period” section, first choose between the ones given (if you choose “custom”, you will need to also specify the dates) and click on “get analytics”. This will take time according to how large the report is.

For a more detailed explanation and navigation through the Analytics section, click here.

In this pane you will find the Stream URLs and the relay station tab.

under Stream URLs you can locate the links that direct to your station’s stream.

Under Relays is where you can create relay stations that rebroadcast your main station. Upon clicking on Create Relay, you can either set up a simple relay that mirrors the settings of the main station or choose to create a transcoding relay, in which case you can choose among more options to edit.

Under Profile you can edit the Station info and configure the Player of your station.

In Station info, you can freely edit the Radio station name, upload a Logo and input any public information that apply to your station.

In Players, you will be able to find your station’s Stream Name (useful for Radiojar’s API system), as well as an IFrame based player, which you can use in your website by copying and pasting the embedded code. You will also be able to configure the player to render the song that is now playing, as well as disable the autoplay functionality of the player.

The Session Rules refer to an IP-based filtering method, that allows an account administrator to route the listeners through a certain stream or a group of streams, with various actions being applied.

Some examples of how the rules can be applied are:

  • redirecting listeners from different countries to alternative content, different bitrates and even particular advertising serving static media files and/ or on demand vast ads.

  • Allowing specific groups of listeners to reach a station’s broadcast only on specific time-frames.

For a more detailed explanation and navigation through the Session Rules, click here.

This feature is only available in Loop channel Stations

The playlist feature, allows you to upload a number of tracks to your Loop channel station, that will air whenever an encoder is not connected. If, for any reason, the connection of the encoder(s) to the server is lost, the playlist will take over and air the content you have uploaded, either in the order you have set, or shuffled.

Please note that in case no listeners (or encoders) are connected to your stream, the station remains idle, waiting for a connection.

The first step is to upload content. After clicking on the “Upload Audio” option, you can either drag & drop, browse from your computer or Add a Media URL to a static mp3 file.

Every time you make a change (enable “shuffle playlist”, change the order of the songs etc.) you will see the option to Save or Save and Restart Playlist. Do so before leaving the page, as any unsaved changes will be removed. When a restart or a save is successful, you will see a message at the top, indicating so.

As mentioned, the Playlist takes over when any other connection is lost. The playlist will become active and start playing when at least one listener accesses the stream. The track that is currently playing is indicated by a green “mark” next to it. If there are no listeners, the playlist will stop at that exact point and, if needed to start again, it will pickup from the same point.

There are three tabs available within settings

1. Broadcast

2. Advanced

3. People

Under Broadcast, the first table is the Master link. This is where you will find the broadcasting and server credentials that will allow you to stream via your station using any Icecast V2 compatible encoder. The Failover Server Address is only available in Streaming only stations.

Following is the Relay link. Enabling this will allow you to choose an mp3 streaming URL from another source to broadcast via your station without the use of any other software.

Please note that in case a relay is enabled or you are navigating in a relay station, the Master link credentials will be hidden and not functional.

Enabling Stream Alert, will allow any emails entered in the field to be notified with alerts for a series of connection activities. For a detailed description of these alerts, have a look in Stream Alerts Specifications & Messages

The source buffer indicates the pre-buffered amount of audio that is loaded once the a connection is established with the infrastructure.

Currently it is not possible to alter the buffer delay. However, once available it will allow a much stabler connections for encoders that operate on weak or unstable network connections.

Under the advanced tab, you are able to check the status of your station’s server, library and streaming.

You are also able to restart or shutdown the station. Restarting will cause a momentary silence on the stream, whereas shutdown will cause the station to remain off air.

Next is the stream configuration, it indicates the pre-buffered amount of time that will be available for auditioning before the stream playout begins.

You can alter the buffering of the stream; increasing it will allow stabler connections for listeners with weak network reception. Reducing it will result in a more “real-time” listening experience.

In Delete Station is where the station can be permanently deleted.

In the people section is where you can invite staff to be able to manage the station. The invitations are sent via email.
