SAM Broadcaster is a professional DJ system that allows you to stream audio over the internet to listeners across the world. SAM Broadcaster is only available for Windows platforms.
To go live using SAM Broadcaster, you will first need to click on Window from the top bar and select Encoders.
This will open a new window within the app. in this new window named “Encoders”, click on the plus ( + ) symbol and a list of possible plugins will appear. Choose a simple one, like the MP3(LAME_ENC) and click ok.
In the window that will appear next, first alter the bitrate under the converter tab, as the default 64kbps is a low quality for most users. 128kbps is a typically good quality and widely used.
Under Server Details you will have the option of entering your Station’s Credentials. Choose IceCast under the Server type and keep it set to IceCast 2. Under Server IP enter your station’s Server Address. The following required are the port under Server Port, the Username, the Mount password under Password and the Mountpoint under Mount. Keep in mind that a “/” will need to precede the Mountpoint.
To find your station's Master link credentials, navigate to Settings>broadcast
When content is playing in SAM Broadcaster, click on the Play option in the Encoders window. If the message that appears is “encoding”, it means you are successfully broadcasting through your Revma Station. If an error appears instead of “encoding”, make sure the credentials were entered correctly.
