Submit your podcast to iTunes Podcasts
Before submitting your podcast to iTunes
Before you submit your podcast to Apple Podcasts, make sure you meet the following minimum requirements:
A unique podcast program title (check iTunes to make sure your program title is unique).
At least one iTunes category selected.
A valid email address in the iTunes email field (notifications from Apple will be sent to this address)
At least one blog post with media will need to have been created (a podcast episode) in either mp3, m4a, mp4, m4v, pdf, or epub format.
Artwork must be in JPEG or PNG file formats and in the RGB colour space with a minimum size of 1400 x 1400 pixels and a maximum size of 3000 x 3000 pixels at 72 DPI. For examples of artwork, see Top Podcasts in Apple Podcasts.
If you have completed the above steps, you are now ready to submit your podcast to Apple Podcasts and other podcast directories.
Submit your podcast to iTunes
You must have an active Apple ID activated in the iTunes store to submit podcasts to the iTunes Store podcast directory. You may create a new Apple ID if you do not already have one.
Enter your RSS feed into the provided text box and then click the “Validate” button.
A Feed Preview will load if you do not have any validation errors. Please take a moment and review your podcast artwork, description, general information (e.g. description, categories, etc) and episodes.
If everything within the Feed Preview is correct, click the “Submit” button.
Your podcast is now submitted to the Apple Podcasts directory.
After you submit your podcast to iTunes
All podcasts submitted to Apple Podcasts are moderated. The process can take up to 10 days, though most submissions are approved within 3 days and on occasion only a few hours.
Apple will email the address you entered as your iTunes email in PowerPress settings when your podcast is approved. The message will be titled “Apple Podcasts Store Podcast Approved Notification” and will include your own unique Apple Podcasts subscribe URL. Please copy this URL and save it into the PowerPress settings > Apple tab section in the “Apple Podcasts Subscribe URL” field.
How to create a subscribe button to iTunes Podcasts
If you want to create an iTunes “Subscribe” button to use in your website, here are the steps to create one:
Go to the iTunes Link maker : https://linkmaker.itunes.apple.com
Search for your podcast.
Select your podcast among the results.
Copy the embedded code from the text area.
Paste the HTML code wherever you want the button to appear
Done! Now when a user clicks on the button, he will be redirected to the podcast page to subscribe.
Submit your podcast to Spotify
Spotify is a digital music, podcast and video streaming service with hundreds of millions users worldwide.
Before submitting your podcast to Spotify
Before you submit your podcast to Spotify make sure you meet the following minimum requirements :
Mp3 audio format: Spotify requires all audio to be in ISO/IEC 11172-3 MPEG-1 Part 3 (MP3) audio with bitrates between 96 and 320 kbps. In other words, an audio mp3 file with good quality audio.
Audio file size: Each episode cannot exceed 200MB in size. 200MB is approximately 83 minutes at 320Kbps or over 200 minutes at 128Kbps.
Podcast artwork image: Podcast artwork must use a square (1:1) aspect ratio in the highest resolution available. Accepted formats include PNG or JPEG.
Podcast feed values: Special characters, especially the ampersand (&) character must be HTML encoded (&). HTML tags such as <p> or <bold> will be removed by Spotify. Consumer-facing fields such as the episode title should not exceed 20 characters, to ensure a good fit on all Spotify screens.
Podcast feed fields: All podcast feeds must have a title, image and at least 1 episode to qualify.
Submit your podcast to Spotify
Go to Spotify for Podcasters and log in to your Spotify account, or create one if you don't already have one. You can select "Log In" or "Get Started" to proceed.
After you have logged in, select "Get Started" on the "Add your podcast" page.
If prompted, read through the terms and conditions, check the box, enter your legal name or LLC, and select "Continue."
Enter your RSS feed into the provided box and select "Next". If there is something wrong with your RSS feed, there will be a prompt bellow the RSS feed box notifying you of the issue. Otherwise, your podcast title, artwork, and description will all appear on the right side of the page.
On the "Add podcast info" page, select your country, language, category, and hosting provider and press "Next".
Review your podcast details and select "Submit".
It may take as long as 2-5 days to appear on Spotify, but most podcasts appear within just a few hours. Spotify does not contact you when your podcast has been added though, so you'll have to keep an eye on the Spotify podcast listings yourself.
How to create a subscribe button to Spotify
This method will only work on devices that have the Spotify App installed. This is a limitation of Spotify, allowing subscriptions only through the App. On mobile devices the app opens automatically.
Create or find a graphic that represents a Subscribe button. Here’s an example:

Go to your podcast at iHeartRadio and copy the url address.

Enter information about you and your podcast including the feed address.
Agree to the terms & conditions and click the “Submit” button.
Confirm your submission.
Done! Once your feed is approved, any new episode that you publish on your hosting service will also be automatically published to iHeartRadio.

Before you submit your podcast to TuneIn make sure you meet the following minimum requirements: - Your artwork should be a square JPG or PNG formatted image and at least 1400 x 1400 (1400 x 1400 JPG image recommended). You can also optionally submit a unique logo and banner image. - A unique podcast program title. - You need to have created at least one blog post with media (a podcast episode) in either mp3 or m4a audio format.
Add your podcast to the TuneIn service here.
TuneIn does not accept video (mp4 or m4v) or digital document (pdf or epub) podcasts.
After submitting your podcast to TuneIn
All podcasts submitted to TuneIn are moderated. The process can take anywhere between one to 10 days.
TuneIn will email the address you provide when your show is approved or denied.

Check your email (the address in your RSS feed) and verify your ownership of this podcast feed.
Click “Publish Podcast.”
Done! Once your feed is approved, any new episode that you publish on your hosting service will also be automatically published to Google play Music Podcasts.
